Excrituras artísticas : El arte colombiano en perspectiva cultural

Abstract

Writing consists of going out to encounter everything that patriarchal culture denies, oppresses, silences and violates. Writing makes possible the experience from which people are configured. This book also shows that without people it is not possible to configure a democratic society. It gathers the experience of relating cultural practices and artistic practices that are in some way antagonistic; The first are offered on the margins and in social humiliations, and the second are protected by the centers of aesthetic and social power. Its reference is contemporary art, that is, those formal practices that not only invent their other without taking care of their own legitimacy, but also materialize and understand it. The book closely follows some artistic and cultural events managed by diverse communities (LGBTI), reviews and studies the political relevance of their aesthetic proposal.
