The image contains news about 3 statements, the first written by Simón R. Olaya López, priest of Sopó, mentions the President of the General Charity Board in Bogotá. In his letter, he mentioned having read in some media about the alarming lack of resources of Charity Establishments in the capital, due to the lack of payment of monetary aid by the State. Although he did not have an abundance of goods, he decided to donate two hundred pesos distributed as follows: one hundred pesos for the Indigent Asylums, fifty pesos for the Hospice or House of Refuge and fifty pesos for the Home for Homeless Children; The second statement was written by Manuel Samper, president of the General Charity Board, responding with gratitude to Olaya López's donation, ensuring that the funds destined for the Asylums and Hospice had already been delivered to the respective trustees and the delivery of the money intended for helpless orphans to the corresponding entity; and the third was written by Nicolás Campuzano, treasurer of the Society for the Protection of Homeless Children, confirming receipt of the check for fifty pesos sent by Dr. Francisco de Paula Rueda and conveying his gratitude to Simón R.
