Resumen
In this radio program, Yolanda Villavicencio, a Colombian prominent abroad, shares her experience as a leader of Colombian migrants. With more than 26 years in Spain, she has worked in integration processes and defense of the rights of migrants, especially migrant women, many of whom are heads of families. Yolanda has also been a parliamentarian in the Madrid Assembly and has promoted laws to support migrants, although many of these laws have not been implemented. The interview addresses topics such as the impact of the economic crisis on migrants, the crucial role of women in sending remittances, and the challenges faced by Colombians returning to their country, such as the lack of legislation and support. Yolanda also discusses how the Colombian State must improve its approach to migration, both for Colombians living abroad and for returnees.
