Abstract

In this project, the structural elements of an advanced measurement infrastructure for electric microgrids were designed and implemented, meeting the requirements and main recommendations contained in the NTC 6079 standard of 2014. The measurement, acquisition and data transmission devices implemented perform the functions of monitoring of generation and consumption elements in a microgrid, which are managed by a management and operation system located in a concentrator device, which in turn maintains the power balance between the sources and the loads for the connection / disconnection assignment of devices in the microgrid. Having established the structural elements of the AMI system, the system was subjected to two types of tests, the first one oriented to the operation of the unit of measurement, data transmission and the management system; and the second with the validation of the functioning of the security system.
