On January 13, 1832, in Bogotá, the auction of the liquor stores in several cantons of the province took place, including Bogotá, Funza, La Mesa, Guaduas, Tocaima, Zipaquirá, Ubaté, Chocontá, Cáqueza and San Martín. In the government room, the treasury board made a public call for two-year lease positions. Luis Vega offered $15,000 reais, but his offer was surpassed by Mr. Sánchez by $500 and then by Fernando Caicedo by another $500, settling at $16,000. After receiving no more offers, Fernando Caicedo swore to comply with the conditions of the auction, which included providing a bond equivalent to two months of the auction (5332.5 reais) within 20 days and taking possession of the tobacconists on the indicated dates.News published in the newspaper El constitutional de Cundinamarca, No. 20, February 5, 1832.
