Resumen
According to what is observed in the daily context of the boys and girls, it is evident that they have access to the experience of recess at school and not in other extracurricular spaces, from there arises the importance of systematizing these experiences to reveal the contributions of recess to the integral development of boys and girls from 6 to 10 years of primary school, this research is of a qualitative-interpretative methodological approach with its methodology: systematization of experiences and supported by some instruments such as participant observation, semi-structured interview. As for the narrative, it is presented in a before, during, and after the recess experience. It was evidenced that the recess experience increases motor skills and cognitive abilities, self-confidence, respect for others, management of emotions through experiences lived in activities, games, among others.
