Resumen
Ceferina Banquez, singer and composer from Bullerengue, was the guest of honor at the Inaugural Lecture of the 2019-1 Master's Program in Artistic Studies at the ASAB Faculty of Arts of the Francisco José de Caldas District University. Ceferina embodies the resilience of Afro-Colombian peoples and the importance of women in the construction of regional and national memory. She has more than 30 songs in her repertoire, many of them inspired by telling her story from the day she became a displaced person and guardian of tradition and words. She has performed numerous times in Madrid, Barcelona, Paris, Lyon, Gothenburg, and Vienna. This is an opportunity to learn about her experience and recognize her knowledge. During this event, the documentary "Cantadora: Memoria de vida y muerte en Colombia" (2016), directed by María Fernanda Carrillo, was also screened. Date: March 19, 2019
