Resumen
This research work presents a proposal that characterizes the levels of mathematization achieved by fifth grade students of an educational institution of the official sector located in the town of Usaquén, when addressing situations that required establishing relationships between magnitudes involving some basic concepts of the financial education, such as money, savings, income and budget. Although it is true that some contents related to financial education have been included in the curricula of educational institutions, especially in higher grades, due to the low results obtained in external tests, such as PISA, the opportunity to carry out a job within this context through an intervention in the classroom with the implementation of a series of tasks adapted from the primer "My plan, my life and my future", which was issued by the Ministry of National Education in 2014. This proposal was developed within qualitative educational research, taking into account the theoretical bases of Realistic Mathematical Education (EMR), allowing students to significantly associate the mathematical object, based on "real" situations through individual work and collective, enabling them to reach more advanced levels of understanding.
