Causales de deserción estudiantil en el proyecto curricular de Licenciatura en Biología. Periodo académico 2007-2017

Abstract

The following is a reflection and investigative analysis on the reasons and causes of student desertion, within the Francisco José de Caldas District University, in the curricular project of the Bachelor's Degree in Biology during the academic periods comprised between the years 2007-2017. It is focused saying problematic as a necessary study in favor of the constant search for improvement in standards of academic quality and professionalization at the national level. The presented monographic dissertation is methodologically framed under review and archival of documentary sources, and statistical bases of the Pclb both in the study house, and in similar academic institutions. Also, it is about a comparison and analysis of said data among the student population, student of the aforementioned periods that under different circumstances defected from the Pclb before its ordinary culmination, thus determining that the reasons, categorized and could be established between academic and personal (health, economic, family and others), being these, consistent with each other. It is discernible under the execution of this analysis as a necessary issue to be addressed, and a correct institutional management is essential to address the patterns and reasons for desertion in time.
