Abstract

The program discusses the role of youth in the municipality of Inírida and reflects on the factors that led to low participation in the Youth Day event. It highlights the importance of including young people in decision-making spaces and social development, promoting their leadership and commitment to the community. At the national level, Colombia has promoted various youth gatherings to strengthen their participation. Among them is the National Youth Meeting, which fosters dialogue between young people and government leaders, as well as the Regional Youth Forums, where topics such as education, employment, and youth rights are discussed. Other notable events include the Colombian Youth Parliament, which encourages political engagement among young people, and the National Meeting of Youth Platforms, which brings together youth organizations to enhance their influence in society. These spaces reflect the need to continue promoting initiatives that inspire young people in Inírida and other regions to actively engage in the development of their communities.
