The image contains a news item about the day of the inauguration of the tramway, which took place on the 24th in Chapinero. The cars were at the public service all day long, meeting the number of trips expected for the inauguration. From the 25th onwards, the trams were available to the public, according to the published rate. News item published in El Comercio No. 901 of December 29, 1884.

La imagen contiene una noticia sobre el día de la inauguración del tranvía, realizada el día 24 en chapinero. Durante todo el día los carros estuvieron al servicio público, cumpliendo con número de viajes esperados para la inauguración.
