The image contains a news report about a decree in which the president orders the final expulsion of the Jesuits from New Granada. They are accused of being enemies of liberty, of fomenting civil war, and of obeying a foreign authority. The government commissions General Jerónimo Torres to carry out the measure and confiscate their property. This news report was published in the Official Register on July 30, 1861.

La imagen contiene una noticia sobre un decreto en el cual el presidente ordena la expulsión definitiva de los Jesuitas de la Nueva Granada. Se les acusa de ser enemigos de la libertad, de fomentar la guerra civil y de obedecer a una autoridad extranjera. El gobierno comisiona al general Jerónimo Torres para ejecutar la medida y confiscar sus bienes. Noticia publicada en el Registro Oficial el 30 de julio de 1861.
