Análisis del aprovechamiento de residuos inorgánicos dispuestos en contenedores fijos en el área urbana de Bogotá

Abstract

The objective of this paper is to quantitatively and qualitatively determine the efficiency of the recovery of inorganic residues through surveys to determine the total recovery of inorganic residues in the study area and to carry out an analysis through the entity’s performance targets. Finally, to determine what have been the reasons why citizens do not separate and use waste at source. The information collected in the study area through surveys and secondary sources was able to study the harvesting system, the harvesting target per container per day, the comparison of the harvesting target and the actual harvesting in situ. The results of the research conclude that the inorganic waste recovery project is collecting 0.52% of total waste generated in the city of Bogotá; since it is a low percentage, it was determined that the effectiveness of the project is 11,3%, being this deficient. Finally, briefly, the citizenry states that the reasons why the citizenry does not recycle are lack of interest, inexperience and citizen disinterest.
