Resumen
The image contains news about the construction of the Panama Canal and the influence of the United States and its request for free passage through said canal. Other objectives that the United States proposes to help in said construction are shown. It also mentions possible eventualities between these countries, if there is a possible war, guarantee of sovereignty, guarantee of neutrality and security of transit. These declarations by the United States, once approved by the governments, will be considered as an explanation of the treaty of 1846. The United States of America proposes certain points that must be complied with by the then-called United States of Colombia, also Several countries were dissatisfied with this decision, such as Chile and its reason for transporting weapons. The United States wanted from the beginning to impose its power against the countries of Central and South America, imposing rules on them to follow for the benefit of themselves and to avoid wars with this country.
