Resumen
The episode addresses the topic of participatory budgeting. Eduardo Montoya and Victoria Giraldo discuss how this tool of direct democracy allows citizens to influence decisions about public budgets, especially at the municipal level. The episode highlights the successful experience in departments such as Nariño, Ocaña, Medellín and Risaralda, where voting processes for community projects have been implemented. In Risaralda, the participation of young people over 14 years of age and the ordinance that has regulated these budgets since 2011 are highlighted. In addition, the importance of citizen participation in politics is mentioned, especially the representation of women, and the audience is invited to actively get involved in these processes.
