The image contains a notice about the Political Headquarters of the Canton mentioning: The undersigned, desirous of correcting the morals of the women who by their deviations in the path of virtue have been destined some to the promotion of new populations and others to serve as concerted, has allowed that before the police resolution takes effect, they have nine days of spiritual exercises, which have provided some religious citizens and lovers of public morals, with only the aid of rations that are given to them as poor prisoners. Perhaps this measure will produce useful results in the habits of these women who must be assigned as soon as the exercises are concluded, for which I await the resolution that the Government has requested from the Government.
