| dc.description | En este artículo hace mención a las ventajas que posee el realizar transmisión de datos por medio de fibra óptica a través de GPON. Esta por ser una tecnología de última generación, ha permitido que servicios como televisión en alta definición, streaming y aplicaciones multimediales lleguen a los usuarios sin interferencias, ni retrasos marcados; también se pretenden dar a conocer las características de las tecnologías GPON que se están implementando en Colombia con el fin de poder brindar acceso a servicios convergentes. | es-ES |
