Resumen
Objective: The main purpose of the document is the need to know the state of development of these technologies, in addition to investigate a possible implementation of LiFi on the 5G mobile network, taking advantage of all the benefits that together could generate in all types of network. It is also intended that at the end the reader himself can determine whether this integration of technologies would be optimal and generate interest in new developments that may have application in the not too distant future Methodology: Publications registered in different databases such as ScienceDirect and IEEE Xplore are reviewed, in addition to other sources of information from official sites and university journals, looking for information related to the research field: LiFi (Light Fidelity), 5G mobile networks, VLC (Visible light communication), IoT (Internet of Things) and security. Then a deep analysis of descriptive qualitative type of articles is performed, where a selection is made which focused directly on the relationship of all these elements. Conclusions: The new challenges in the field of communication point to a convergence between the technologies currently known. LiFi and the fifth generation of the 5G mobile network will not displace WiFi, on the contrary, the new projects seek the integration of all these technologies in order to cover a wider field of connectivity, taking advantage of the benefits of each of them.
