Abstract

The program “Voces y Regiones”, broadcast by Laud Estéreo 90.4 FM, featured an interview with Luis Fontalvo, president of the Federation of Community Action Boards of the Department of San Andrés and Providencia. During the conversation, Fontalvo spoke about the importance of communal action in the region, highlighting achievements such as the implementation of a departmental public policy for communal action and the strengthening of female and youth leadership in the communal boards. He also mentioned recent events such as the training of community leaders and the next National Congress of Communal Action to be held on the island. The program highlighted the role of women, who are now leading significant processes in communal action, and the active participation of youth, who are being trained to assume leadership roles in their communities. Finally, the program reflected on the social and cultural transformation of San Andrés and Providencia, promoting unity and community development in the region.
