Abstract

This volume presents Volume 4: Cultural, Social, and Gender Diversity and Discrimination, containing six articles resulting from the presentations given at the VII Research Meeting of the Faculty of Sciences and Education at the Francisco José de Caldas District University. In this chapter, the reader will find a variety of topics that allow for reflection on gender diversity; functional diversity for inclusion; education in food sovereignty and security through traditional and scientific knowledge; and finally, the notion of silence as the root of memory through two novels by the Colombian writer Roberto Burgos.
