Abstract

In this section of the Voces y Regiones program, the issue of forced displacement is addressed—one of the most serious consequences of armed conflict, which deeply affects the lives of those forced to leave their homes. This phenomenon not only involves the loss of residence but also the breakdown of social, cultural, and family ties. When people become victims of displacement, the term takes on a more painful meaning, representing the loss of security, identity, and stability. Furthermore, the emotional impact extends to the family members who remain in the territory, as they face the anguish of being separated from their loved ones and the uncertainty about their well-being. In this context, Voces y Regiones emphasizes the importance of recognizing the rights of displaced people, promoting comprehensive support policies, and ensuring access to justice to restore their lives and protect their dignity.
