Resumen
Is an interdisciplinary artistic project that merges drawing, puppetry, light projection, and public participation in urban spaces. Drawing inspiration from traditional shadow theater and artists like Charlotte Reiniger and Richard Bradshaw, the project brings to life translucent characters and landscapes using obsolete devices like overhead projectors. Through this analog technique, it reclaims public spaces, transforming cold, gray architecture into ephemeral, colorful scenes filled with biodiversity, imagination, and movement. The project emphasizes spontaneity and improvisation, creating magical atmospheres where music and visuals blend in real time without rehearsals or fixed scripts.
Beyond its visual appeal, Juegos Translúcidos addresses social and environmental issues, particularly the erasure of natural landscapes and the alienation of city dwellers from their surroundings. The project uses play as a creative and unifying tool, inviting people of all ages to co-create and interact with the artwork. Rooted in the artist's childhood memories—specifically the storytelling and shadow games of her grandmother—it seeks to generate emotional connections and provoke reflection. Ultimately, it promotes a vision of art as a collective, accessible, and transformative force capable of inspiring wonder and critical thinking within everyday life.
