Abstract

Our reflection is a disturbing question that arises when we are searching for ourselves. This is present in a variety of ways that surpasses our identity, which is in an exercise of tensions that are confused between what we are and what we see. This project arises from the need to move away from these different images that mistakenly represent me, mention or reflect. The relationships we establish with our image surpass those we have with us, it is a struggle that seeks to be reality, but in the encounter of image and person, a relationship of falling in love arises. Narcissism is an effect that is lived daily but is currently reinforced by the object representations we generate from our image. We are looking for a representation that is as lively as possible but this company always fails. This is why, through sculpture, I try to be closer to my image, to show the body closer to reality to unveil those relationships of identity, love and transcendence. Those relationships lead me to the destructive action that releases the form and material contained as well as the tensions that produces a reflection so vivid and overwhelming. Destruction is a determining factor in this project that allows its continuity and detonates the ideas that cross it, is the action that dynamizes and concludes the constructed objects, allows a cycle of creation and contained energies to be liberated enriching the patterns and dynamics of this draft.
