Abstract

In the Colombia Art History, there are Painters and artist that although of his contribution to this, they didn’t come to our arts books. For example, Manuel Doroteo Carvajal, landscape’s pioneer in Colombia, who Martha Segura written him some pages, Gustavo Sorzano, Conceptual art’s developer or Giovanni Ferroni, Italian landscape painter, who whit his work contributed to the advance to the art history in our country. This last, great landscape painter doesn’t be in the book history just like a great artist, although he has influence in a crucial moment of the Colombian art’s birth. But, who was this painter? Which is his History and why we haven’t knowledge about him? Ferroni was a painter who born in Ancona, in the middle of the 19th century, exactly in 1853.Just like a consequence for the Rissorgimiento, summit moment in the Italy’s Union, Ferroni has let his native town, to study his school in Venetia. And been there where he learned to paint. The Venetian style that is in his pictures, got the Venetian paint’s own characteristics: the like for the colours make for the landscape denote the Painting’s simple beauty, the sensibility to the elements that be there, and the romanticist touch that is in his work a majestic one. Ferroni brought no only the landscape’s contribution Romanticist and Venetian showed in his fists works. He taken the pictorial view, look around and lustred, made of his works for Colombia the reference that he was in these places, said of his foreigner life in this new World.
