Resumen
Caring: The Love That Goes Both Ways, is a research-creation project that explores the concept and role of the female caregiver, taking as its starting point the lived experiences of the women in my close circle. This biographical approach uses the family album as a tool to observe the past, and it is through these encounters that dialogues, concerns, and perspectives emerge, enabling the construction of a theoretical framework on caregiving from three perspectives: economic, social, and gender-based. Within this framework, the project proposes an Artistic Workshop aimed at women caregivers from the neighborhoods of Bellavista, Nueva Granada, Primavera, and Tierra Buena, located in the Kennedy district of Bogotá. Addressing one of their many needs, the project offers a service that complements existing ones, focusing on creation, learning, and recreation, with photography as the central theme. This initiative aligns with local public policies under the Care for Caregivers strategy, as part of the Care Blocks program in the 2020–2024 District Development Plan.
