Abstract

The image contains news about Agreement Number 11 of 1864, which creates municipal agents for the District of Bogotá. Establishes the figure of the Municipal Chief with a term of one year, elected by the Corporation in January. The Municipal Chief, endowed with broad powers, has the responsibility of appointing and removing employees of the District, maintaining public order, ensuring compliance with the laws and supervising the administration of assets and income of the District. In addition, the agreement specifies that the Municipal Chief must regularly visit the city and the prisons to ensure compliance with police regulations and good treatment of detainees.
