Resumen
With this work, we intend to introduce, from the acting technique of Uta Hagen, the tasks that the actor has not only in his profession but in his social environment, based on the external techniques and human techniques of the book “A challenge to the actor". Through these, we will talk about the pro-profession of the actor in Bogotá, the technical part of the actor and the tasks that he must develop to nurture his profession. In addition to the exercises, the social role and all that it means to be an actor in a country like Colombia is deepened. Truth, self-observation and imagination, are vital elements to create and generate content, capable of transmitting and expressing something to the viewer, generating awareness far beyond just fun. All this seeing the technique always as a means to and not as an absolute truth, because if it is, there is not much that can be transmitted, it lacks the magic and meaning of this profession which must have a balance between the technical and the living, what each actor carries between his thoughts, feelings and experiences, between his own ethical and aesthetic. That is why it is important to also highlight the criteria with which each person stands on a stage to speak, it is a very big responsibility that carries his or her job and very rarely the importance that is given.
