This image contains a news story about several newspapers in the United States reporting on the expressions of appreciation of the members of the Catholic Church in New York towards the bishops expelled from their country and refugees in the United States. Recently, two important meetings in New York, on March 15 and May 3, where Catholic clergy and laity expressed their support for the bishop of Bogotá and Dr. Newman. Archbishop Hughes presided over one of the meetings, where the blameless conduct of the banished bishops was highlighted and sympathy and respect was shown to them for their example and sufferings.
