Resumen
It is common to hear about the issue of recycling because it is a factor that can directly affect the environment, therefore, it is evident the need to generate greater awareness of correctly carrying out this activity from our homes and that this contributes to reusing many of the usable waste that today is lost. Currently 16% of citizens do their best to properly separate waste, however, much of this recycling separated at home is not adequately treated by the carts in charge of garbage collection in the city; It is noteworthy that, although these wastes have been separated by cans, color of bags, among others, all these waste always reach the garbage collection cart. It is even common to see that some of the recyclers review these garbage bags taking only what they consider useful and leaving the rest of the waste in the street or cans in the wrong way. The study will be carried out in the residential complexes of the Villa del Rio neighborhood of the town of Bosa, in order to identify the process of handling waste generated in homes, its separation and collection of these. Once this information is available, a proposal for a prototype of a mobile application will be generated that allows people to know in detail the correct separation of waste and contact a company in charge of transforming it into raw material. In order to ensure that correctly separated waste reaches the hands of experts for treatment.
In addition, the prototype will allow greater control of the waste generated, the recycling obtained, further encouraging this activity among residents. The project will be carried out in conjunction with waste processing companies, managing to motivate the community and creating the need to do this fundamental practice. In general, the idea is to have benefits for the different parties involved in the process, such as citizens, trade recyclers and processing companies, that allow the development of the project.
