The image contains news about the Minutes of the Constituent Assembly. Thus, on September 29, 1867, a session was held in the city of Bogotá. The list of Deputies to the Assembly was verified, with 5 present. The session was opened and the second debate on the draft Constitution continued. Articles 47 to 56 were approved, with the exception of article 57 and a modification proposed by Escallón. Article 58 was discussed and its deletion was proposed by the Judicial Commission. Various modifications were presented to article 62 on the division of departments for the administration of justice. Articles 59, 60 and sections 1, 3 and 4 of article 61 were approved. A proposal by Ospina was presented for the Senate recess and its discussion was requested at another time. Article 64 was modified by Gutiérrez, but the modification was rejected and the original article was approved. Articles 65 to 71 were approved. Article 72 was modified by Samper and Gutiérrez, but the original article was finally approved. Article 76 was discussed and the modification proposed by Ortega was rejected. Articles 77 to 82 were approved. Article 83 was modified by Samper and established that citizens of the State cannot be forced to hold public office. Finally, the meeting was adjourned.
