Resumen
Knowledge management (KM) represents a strategy that contributes to improving the performance and performance of dairy food processing companies in Colombia. However, the quantification and analysis of this contribution is still the subject of study in the academic and business world, due to the intangible and unstructured nature of the variables linked to CG. For this purpose, different general GC models have been designed, but no specific models have been developed for the sector of dairy food processing companies, on the basis of sufficient empirical evidence. The objective of this research is to propose a Knowledge Management model for dairy food processing companies in Colombia. To this end, the dairy processing sector in Colombia was selected. The research has allowed to characterize the dairy sector. GC occurs in this sector of dairy food processing in the form of a cycle, in which knowledge is originated, stored, transferred, applied and protected in order to achieve the objectives of the same, which is enhanced by an organizational strategy innovative and the development of ICT. It is concluded that the model is able to represent with a high degree of validity, reliability and consistency, the positive effect of CG on the increase of business results. To this end, the CG practices selected in both the strategic dimension and the functional dimension should be applied in a combined and balanced manner. It is recommended, the evaluation and standardization of the methodology developed through its application in different productive contexts. Finally, the Knowledge Management Model in Dairy Food Processing Companies in Colombia represents an original contribution. It is maintained in an innovative methodology to quantify the Knowledge Management and Perception of Results constructs. These constructs were estimated through reliable and valid measurement instruments (surveys), whose determining results represent the elements of the model. The existing relationships between these indicators were validated by statistical means.
