Resumen
In the Voces y Regiones program, the importance of youth participation in Armenia, Quindío is highlighted, emphasizing various spaces and organizations that allow young people to actively engage in community development. These spaces address topics such as citizen participation, community strengthening, and youth leadership.
One of the main participation bodies is the Municipal Youth Council (CMJ), which serves as a bridge between young people and the local government, allowing them to influence the creation and monitoring of public policies aimed at youth. The CMJ of Armenia maintains an active presence on digital platforms, facilitating communication and the dissemination of its activities.
Additionally, the Youth Platform of Armenia is a meeting space for various youth initiatives and organizations in the city. This platform promotes coordination among young people, encouraging the creation of projects and activities that contribute to community development.
At the departmental level, the Departmental Youth Platform of Quindío brings together representatives from different municipalities, including Armenia, to coordinate actions and promote youth participation throughout the region. This platform was recently updated to strengthen its structure and representation.
These organizations and spaces reflect the commitment of Armenia and Quindío to providing young people with tools and platforms that foster their active integration into society, promoting a culture of participation and civic responsibility.
