Resumen
In this section of the Voices and Regions program, there is a reflection on William Ospina’s Second Prayer for Peace, a text that questions the persistence of violence in Colombia and the apparent disconnect between official statistics and the reality experienced by affected communities.
Ospina, in his prayer, calls for genuine peace and denounces how internal conflict continues to claim victims despite optimistic speeches. He expresses concern with phrases such as "Peace is not signed, peace is sown," emphasizing that true transformation requires deep and sustained effort. He also warns that "no one can build peace on lies," highlighting the need to acknowledge the suffering of victims and the complexity of the conflict.
The program encourages listeners to reflect on the gap between official reports and the harsh reality in many regions of the country, reminding them that peace is an ongoing process that demands truth, justice, and collective commitment.
