La imagen contiene una noticia acerca de la: "Educación Pública. Primera cosecha que ofrece la escuela de Las Nieves promoción de alumnos, temas destacados de conocimiento". El director de la escuela lancasteriana de la parroquia de Las Nieves de esta capital, presentó el día 3 del corriente (primer aniversario de su apertura) un certamen dedicando al escellentisimo señor vicepresidenta de la Republica, en que algunos niños fueron examinados en los principios de la relijion por el catecismo de Fleuri, y en los jenerales de ortografia, aritmetica y jeografia. Esta es la primera cosecha que ofrece la escuela de Las Nieves, y podemos prometernos que progresivamente sera abundante, segun el beneficio que la ha dispensado el vice-presidente, y el interés del párroco y el director. The director of the Lancastrian school of the Las Nieves parish of this capital, presented on the 3rd of this year (the first anniversary of its opening) a contest dedicated to the most excellent Vice President of the Republic, in which some children were examined in the principles of religion through the catechism of Fleuri, and in the generals of spelling, arithmetic and geography. This is the first harvest that the Las Nieves school offers, and we can promise that it will progressively be abundant, according to the benefit that the vice-president has provided, and the interest of the parish priest and the director.
