Resumen
This work arises after several years as a piano teacher, both at the initiation level and at various ages and levels. It is always a challenge to want to provide knowledge to children; on many occasions, the beginning of musical activities on the piano seems not very fun, and in other cases, after a certain amount of musical practice, disenchantment and desertion come. Searching for alternatives that provide us with other spaces and dynamics to bring children and students closer, and why not any beginner or those interested in musical genres different from classical, is an excellent opportunity to captivate and keep students engaged in the practice of music. Jazz and Blues were, within my musical development, genres that broadened my musical panorama, which after several years of technical training and assembly of piano repertoire through musical reading on the staff, was recast. I always had the concern of trying something different to experiment with my students and to transmit what I discovered in my contact with these genres, and for this particular case with the Blues. The circumstances complemented each other to make this idea a reality and present it to anyone who may be interested. In future projects, we can challenge ourselves in fields of blues piano development beyond initiation. Students, especially boys and girls, enrich us daily with their naturalness and spontaneity; after testing this idea, there will undoubtedly be many lessons that will be ideas for the constant evolution of music and life itself. Many thanks to all those who believed in my cause and collaborated selflessly so that this work could come to a successful conclusion.
