Resumen
In this interview, Carmen Elisa Pulido, coordinator of the Women's Committee of the Association of Community Boards of Cumaribo, discusses the difficult situation faced by women in the Vichada region. She highlights the lack of female participation in politics, the economy, and society, noting that many women do not have access to proper healthcare, education, or job opportunities. She also denounces cases of gender violence, teenage pregnancies, and the lack of government support.
Pulido emphasizes the struggle for women's rights and the need for greater political representation. She also reflects on the role of women in building peace and criticizes the state's indifference towards victims of armed conflict. Finally, she highlights the natural beauty of Vichada, including its rivers and beaches, which could be developed for tourism if better infrastructure were available.
