Resumen
The image presents a news about: "Dear friend I take the liberty of drawing your attention to the picture of " Days of rain in Bogota in 1881" that was published in The Conservative on the 6th of this month. The discrepancy between the results that you publish and those that I deduce from the observations that I have taken with care is remarkable. Although the note below the table may explain this discrepancy, it makes it clear at the same time that the downpours have been described in a vague way, In most weather observations, rainy days are those in which precipitation reaches a hundredth of an inch, or two and a half millimetres. I accompany a picture of rain, thunder and hail you will find of some interest. My series of observations in Bogota began on February 16, 1880, so there is no data on the first 46 days of that year. I am of you cordial friend and servant. Tomas Herrán". Published in the newspaper El Conservador.No.59, January 13, 1882
