Una historia de arena, fuego y aire: entre las artes y los oficios del vidrio

Abstract

Why the information and knowledge of glass as a means of expression for Colombian artists are so small. We ask ourselves: why this is so and how the artisanal processes of glass are related to art and artists in Bogotá. So we searched and contacted artists, artisans and other people linked to the work with glass, to conduct a series of interviews, which were collected, analyzed and discussed, generating a dialogue between peers to know more about people and their form of relating. As a result, in addition to the recognition of the artists who participate in this investigation, it is possible to visualize the knowledge, techniques and experiences of glass artisans in Bogotá, who despite their activity and collaboration are invisibilized in the artistic context.
