| dc.description | La imagen muestra una noticia acerca de que se sabe que en la dirección general de instrucción pública, no permitió al catedrático de economía política del colegio del Rosario, el Dr. Juan Nepomuceno Gómez, sustentar el certamen publico de aquella ciencia la siguiente proposición "Para que la sociedad se aproveche de todas las capacidades debe dejar que el hombre estudie donde pueda, por los libros que quiera y con los maestros que elija, debería limitarse la autoridad a establecer enseñanzas costeados por los fondos públicos para que se diesen lecciones gratuitamente a los que quisiesen oírlas" y como ha parecido algo ilegal la censura de la expresada dirección, se llama la atención del público sobre la materia para hacer saber lo que por ahora ocurre.
