Resumen
Laura's project, "Archetypes of Femininity and Motherhood," explores the connection between archetypes, femininity, and motherhood, identifying how these concepts impact the perception of women in society. The introduction highlights that archetypes function as unconscious memory, influencing how women relate to nature and everyday life. Three archetypes of femininity are analyzed: Demeter, Kore, and Hecate, each representing different aspects of femininity.
The section on motherhood delves into the maternal archetype, its characteristics, and its connection to the figure of the mother, differentiating between various types of mothers: Great Mother, Good Mother, and Bad Mother. Symbols associated with motherhood, such as the Virgin Mary, are also presented, and archetypal representations in various cultures are discussed. Finally, the work emphasizes the interrelationship between femininity and motherhood, relying on a survey that helps validate the concepts studied and understand how associated symbols are perceived. The conclusions offer a perspective on the richness of these archetypes in art and culture.
