Abstract

The image presents news about: "Nature, then, strives to protect us, sanctify the air and make us pleasant, the walk; and the Athenian authority endeavors to correct the flat, with serious damage of passers-by and inhabitants, whose rooms are victims of that constant dust. This is not all: with the grass they necessarily pluck out its base of earth, and each time , well, they go digging deeper those areas as to form mudflats, unclean puddles and deposits and streams of water that nothing convenient; and each time the trees are getting more injured and discovered in their roots, so it is not surprising that so many have succumbed to these protective tasks. We call the attention of the police and hygiene authorities to put an end to that traditional feature of cleanliness, so clumsily applied in this case, where a certain company removed the pavement and left nothing in its replacement".
