Resumen
The document is an artistic project presented in the form of a mock instruction manual. It combines textual and visual elements to reflect on repetitive labor, the reification of the human body, and the relationship between humans and technology. Through an ironic and fragmented structure, the author describes how bodily movements, when constantly repeated in work settings, transform the subject into a functional object—devoid of thought or individual identity. The use of automatic writing, visual poetry, photographs, and performance serves to explore themes such as procedural memory, labor alienation, and the physical and emotional toll of mechanizing the body.
The project materializes as an installation made of recycled Styrofoam sculptures, covered in passport-sized photographs documenting repetitive hand movements performed by the artist. These modules symbolize the transformation of the human body into a productive tool within the industrial chain. Through a rich collection of philosophical, artistic, and sociological references, the author situates his work within a critical dialogue with contemporary practices, challenging blind faith in technology and highlighting the impact of labor on the body and subjectivity. The act of building, repeating, and documenting becomes a symbolic form of resistance against automation and the dehumanization of labor.
