Resumen
This image contains news about a surprising attack, the artillery brigade in the city was seduced and, supported by their strength, the rebels broke in, causing considerable carnage, including in the presidential house. Fortunately, only Colonels Guillermo Ferguson and José Bolívar perished. Ferguson died at the entrance to the palace and Bolívar in General Padilla's house, where Second Lieutenant Ibarra was wounded. Others were also wounded in the halls of the palace, but the liberator miraculously managed to escape without any injuries. Several traitors have been arrested and others are being hunted. The crime will be revealed in all its magnitude. The first squadron of horse grenadiers and the Vargas battalion behaved with the zeal and enthusiasm that has so often earned them praise. The rebel artillery began their infamous attack by firing cannons at the barracks, but the attack only inflamed the brave defenders. They quickly put the traitors to flight and ran through all the streets, congratulating themselves on the safety of the liberator.
