Resumen
In this section of Voces y Regiones, the discussion focuses on the role of the Municipal Youth Council (CMJ) of Montería, which serves as a crucial bridge between young people and the local government. The council’s main objective is to promote greater youth participation in public affairs and ensure their inclusion in the various decision-making spaces throughout Montería, Córdoba.
The CMJ acts as a representative body that engages in dialogue with municipal authorities, advocating for youth interests and overseeing government actions related to youth policies. It plays a key role in shaping public agendas and ensuring that youth perspectives are integrated into policy decisions.
In parallel, the Municipal Youth Platform of Montería provides an additional participatory space where young people can collectively organize, defend their rights, and propose initiatives that influence local public policy.
Through these structures, Montería seeks to strengthen participatory democracy, empower young citizens, and ensure that their voices are heard and valued in building a more inclusive and representative society.
