Abstract

The image contains news about Circular No. 32 issued on April 5, 1854. In this circular, addressed to the Mayor of the district, the problem of the non-acceptance of reals and real means of granada is addressed, even when they are legitimate , since it is stated that it is causing damage in the Fontibón district. In response, the Executive Branch has resolved that police employees have the duty to facilitate the circulation of these coins considered legitimate. Employees are urged to dictate the necessary measures to guarantee that these currencies are accepted in contracts and transactions between individuals, as well as in collection offices, using the coercive means that the laws grant them, but with the necessary prudence to avoid any additional damage.
