Abstract

The image contains a news item about the information on the proposal agreed on the Foci of infection taking into account that the branches of Hygiene and Public Health are only in charge of the Board of Hygiene by Law 30 of 1886. Additionally, it is mentioned that it is forbidden for the Municipal Councils to interfere in matters that are not their competence, by ordinal No. 7, therefore it is resolved to call the attention of the Central Board of Hygiene so that, making use of Law 30 of 1886, it dictates the agreements that it believes necessary in order to destroy the existing infection centers in the city, which agreements will be enforced by this Corporation as well as by the other authorities, according to what the Law dictates. Annex the extraordinary session of November 25, 1890 is mentioned in which the session of the Central Board of Hygiene is opened with the attendance of all its members, the minutes of the previous session are read and approved and it is stated that according to what was resolved by the meeting of the previous day, the present session had the purpose of discussing the note of Mr. Secretary of the Municipal Council. Finally, the public slaughterhouse is included among the sources of infection, which was made visible in a visit made to said place, mentioning that the above is approved and some people are appointed to carry out the Hygiene Commission and the attention to a matter of extreme importance.
