Resumen
Ricardo Prado Amaya's thesis explores the complex relationship between art, nature, and industrialization from psychological, sociological, anthropological, and symbolic perspectives. Drawing on childhood memories and dream experiences, the author expresses a profound anguish regarding the destruction of the environment and a need to channel these emotions through art. Industrialization is criticized for fostering an individualistic and destructive attitude in humans, disconnecting them from their natural bond.
This reflection is articulated in a process of artistic creation that aims to recover that lost connection. Through sculptures such as the proposed "Mesárbol" (MyTree), Prado merges organic and industrial materials to symbolize the conflict and possible reconciliation between the natural and artificial worlds. The tree, the symbolic axis of the project, represents life, cosmic connection, and cultural memory. The works seek to generate spaces for contemplation, denunciation, and reflection on our ecological responsibility, advocating for a revaluation of art as a tool for inner dialogue and social transformation.
