Abstract

The radio program "Voices and Regions" of the Directorate for Citizen Participation and Community Action of the Ministry of the Interior addresses the issue of public space. The presenters, Eduardo Montoya, Victoria Giraldo and Albert Cárdenas, together with their guests, discuss the importance of public space as a place of social interaction and the challenges it faces due to the invasion of street vendors, insecurity and lack of adequate planning. The participation of the collective of architecture students "Etún" stands out, who propose redesigning public spaces to make them more accessible for people with disabilities. The need for greater security and the creation of cultural spaces for the proper use of public space is also mentioned.
