The image contains news about the night of September 17, 1851, a field assistant arrived in the city to bring the following news: General Herrera, with his division of national guards from Cauca and patriots from Antioquia, was waiting in Abejorral for the union with other columns. However, the enemy, regaining strength, confronted his rear on the morning of the seventh day, forcing him to fight. After a battle all day, Herrera decided to retreat towards Río Negro to resupply with ammunition and other resources, evading the enemy. On the 10th, the rebels confronted Herrera again in Río Negro, being completely defeated, and some news is attached. La imagen contiene una noticia acerca de la noche del 17 de septiembre de 1851 llego a la ciudad un ayudante del campo a llevar la siguiente noticia: El General Herrera, con su división de guardias nacionales del Cauca y patriotas de Antioquia, esperaba en Abejorral la unión con otras columnas. Sin embargo, el enemigo, recobrando fuerzas, se enfrentó a su retaguardia por la mañana del séptimo día, obligándolo a combatir. Tras una batalla todo el día, Herrera decidió retirarse hacia Río Negro para reabastecerse de municiones y otros recursos, evadiendo al enemigo. El día 10, los facciosos volvieron a enfrentarse a Herrera en Río Negro, siendo derrotados por completo, y se adjuntan algunas noticias.
