The image contains news about the arrival of General Reyes to Bogotá and the welcome they gave this character. The streets, avenues and squares were beautified and he was accompanied by a crowd. The imposing triumphal arches that were built for this occasion stand out, as well as the decoration of all the balconies, windows, doors and parks with crowns, festoons, flowers and portraits of the hero. This reception has been so magnificent that it is compared to the entry of Bolívar in 1819. News published in El telegrama, May 2, 1895.

La imagen contiene una noticia acerca de la llegada del General Reyes a Bogotá y la bienvenida que le dieron a este personaje. Las calles, avenidas y plazas fueron embellecidas y le acompañó una multitud. Se destacan los imponentes arcos del triunfo que fueron levantados para esta ocasión y el adorno a todos los balcones, ventanas, puertas y parques con coronas, festones, flores y retratos del héroe.
